Dr. Mohd Haizal Jamaluddin received his Bachelor degree and Master degree in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia in 2003 and 2006, respectively. He received the Doctoral degree in Signal Processing and Telecommunications from the Université de Rennes 1, France in 2009His research interests include antenna design for milimeter wave applications, RF and microwave communication systems and specific antennas such as dielectric resonator antennas (DRA), reflectarray and dielectric dome antennas. He has  published 42 technical journals including Electronics Letters, Antenna and Propagation Wireless Propagation Letters (AWPL), IEEE Access,  Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Apllications (JEMWA) and more than 40 of technical conference papers on design and performance of various types of antennas. He joined Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2003 as a Tutor at Department of Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Currently he is a Senior Lecturer at Wireless Communication Centre, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and is supervising a numbers of PhD, Master and Undergraduate students.

He has produced a product named " L-Shaped Dielectric Resonator Antenna for LTE Application" which have won major exhibition competitions in Malaysia such as INATEX, MTE and PECIPTA. The great achievement was to won RM20,000 for finishing 4th in UTP Exhibition Competition.

During his leisure time, he spends his time playing chess and entered some major competition in Malaysia. As an academician, it is not about teaching and research. Life must be full of happiness. When he loves something, he will just do it and believe that at the end, he will achieved tremendous victory/awards/achievements.
